Austrian Ecolabel

The Austrian eco-label guideline for green film productions was developed in 2016 with the Ministry of the Environment, filmmakers, and environmental experts. It came into force in 2017 and is awarded to specific film productions, not the production company. Criteria must be met in two areas: the production company and the respective film production. An expert report from an independent, accredited test center is required for compliance with the criteria and to be awarded the eco-label. The publication of guidance in English has been annouced but to yet published (15/03/2023)
